The DAF was founded on May 10, 1933 and was one of Adolf Hitler's Gleichschaltung measures. an organization where employees and employers could exchange their mutual interests The relatively high wages were determined by the twelve trustees of the DAF Great job security was created and dismissal was made increasingly difficult Social plans and recreational projects were developed and attention was paid to the improvement of canteens, working hours and breaks The workers were very satisfied with what the DAF did for them, but in return the DAF demanded unconditional loyalty.
