Medalbar 'Anschlussmedaille spange'
Nice single medal bar of the Anschlussmedaille. The medal bar is in top condition, and is complete with the needle on the back. So it can still be nicely attached to for example, a dress uniform. Very nicely shaped Anschlussmedaille spange in top condition. Here is some background information about the Anschlussmedaille, the Anschlussmedaille (officially called the Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938) was an award of Nazi Germany. The decoration, a commemorative medal, was instituted by Adolf Hitler on October 18, 1938 after the annexation of the Sudetenland forced by him with threat of force. Originally, the medal was awarded for services to the "Anschluss", the union of Germany and the Sudetenland. Later on, merits for the establishment of the German Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia were also awarded with this medal. Those who had already acquired the medal for their merits at the Anschluss were rewarded with a buckle for their merits in subjugating what remained of Czechoslovakia. Prague Castle was depicted on this bronze buckle.
