Badge 'Verwundeten Abzeichen' Silver

Here a beautiful Verwundeten abzeichen in silver. The badge is in top condition, nothing to criticize. The badge is virtually undamaged and has no flaws. This badge has been worn very neatly. On the back it is marked with number 92 which means that the medal is produced by the manufacturer 'Josef Rückert & Söhne, Gablonz'. All in all a very nice wound badge without flaws with a nice finish, hard to find in this condition. Here some background information. A wounded badge is a wearable tribute to the soldiers who were injured in war or combat. In the Netherlands, a Wearing Badge for the Wound was not introduced until 1999. The American Purple Heart, created during the American Revolutionary War, was the first example of such an award. (This item is from my private collection!)
